  • Jackson Phil Collen 3

Does anyone tell me how much I can ask for Jackson PC?

I'm going to sell this guitar, it's 1998 model and with wilkinson tremolo.
So what is the best price what I can get from it?

Thank you for anyway or if you could help me??

Ever since the JCF classifieds went platinum, these types of threads have gotten ridiculously numerous and obnoxious. I know many members - like myself - are pretty sick of having to wade through reading this crapola over and over again. And, before someone says "just don't click on the threads"... I would love to avoid them, but the thread titles almost never reference them being a dollar value request.

With the possible exception of some rare production models and/or true custom shop pieces, everyone on the planet can look up guitar values on Ebay by searching "completed listings". I have no problem helping folks out, including newbies. I enjoy that, actually. But everyone knows the vast majority of these f'n threads are thinly-veiled attempts to skirt the platinum / classifieds rules, usually by some "newbie" (cough...alternate screen name account...cough).

So would the admins please finally consider creating a rule on the JCF against these types of threads? Limited exceptions, of course.

P.S.- Or just open up the classifieds again. Either way, whatever works.

What pisses me off is when people register for a forum solely to ask how much they can sell their guitar for. They have contributed nothing to the forum and will never post on it again once they get their $$$ value.
            Cunts.

Oh, I would bet that the vast majority of these "newbie" posters have an IP address that is the same as some already-existing JCF member. Not that the admins have either the time nor the inclination to deal with such issues. Just sayin', that's all.

I went platinum and I am unlikely to ever buy or sell anything here. I'm an old school brick and mortar guy. But I figure I spend an hour or so a day amusing myself here so I may as well contribute to keeping it going.

I've had several offers of $5000 but I'm willing to let this one go for the low price of $2000

At least he is open about his intentions. Not one of those "perhaps I'll entertain the thought of selling it, should the right offer be made"...

Why is this a problem? I mean, yeah, any fuckhead with half a brain SHOULD have the mental capacity to figure out that Ebay is, as their own tagline states, "The World's Marketplace", but is it really that big of a loss if they sign up here to ask for an estimate? The JCF isn't losing anything by not having yet more Slovakian n00bs on it, are we?

In that respect, they're basically dropping a "For Sale" sign out in public, which is against Forum rules. That's the real issue here. More members doesn't mean more worthwhile members. Not everyone who plays guitar knows just a bit more about playing/wiring/building/servicing guitars than everyone else, so most of them are redundant.
