Most gold hardware tends not to hold its color for very long with frequent contact, especially something like a bridge. I've never had much success with gold hardware staying gold on guitars I play on a regular basis, so unless that guitar already has other gold hardware and you absolutely want it to match, I'd choose black instead.
Any particular reason you're going with the Floyd Pro? As for the XL500, I like it myself, although I no longer own a guitar with one in it.
