Jackson King V Tiger Stripes

Hey Dudes,
Listen, I need some help finding out what this guitar is. A little over a year ago my cousin and I walked into a Pawn Shop in Adelaide, South Australia. I saw a Jackson King V with Tiger Stripes:

(Sorry about the long link) it had that finish and it cost around $4000, I didn't expect anyone to buy it and I just remembered it for whatever reason. I just called EVERY Pawn Shop in the chain that it's from. None of them seemed to have it. Now I want one! Can someone help identify this?

If it was a Jackson it was a King V with a Bengal finish.

If it was a Jackson it was a King V with a Bengal finish.

The bengal finish is slightly rare, it doesn't seem to be a current finish in the line-up but it was available on USA selects for a few years so they won't be non-existent. You won't see as many as black or trans black KV's for sure.

regardless, it was secondhand and at a pawnbrokers. As soon as it is first purchased, the depreciation begins. They were trying to get a retail price for a secondhand guitar. If it was from the 80s, it would have originally retailed for even less.

You mean like they'd be worth half of what you paid and you'd still be paying off the mortgage on the loss? Seems to me the only difference would be the mortgage part Or maybe the market didn't crash in Australia?

nope, market didn't crash in Australia. It dipped, but didn't crash. Part of the reason why the Aussie dollar is so strong against the US dollar now. It's a great time for Aussies to be buying stuff from the US - and me without any cash.

I figure DecoSBoss meant that the $30,000 house bought 25 years ago could be worth $500,000 today
