  • Need Help Idetifying Jackson Year

Is there any way of identifying what year this Jackson is by the tag?

    Here is the tag:

Is that just when it was inspected or could it have been made in 09 and laid around until inspectors get to it. Sry if this is newb question, but i have no idea how this process works.

Nice fiddle. I doubt it sat around waiting for inspection - that's how factories that go out of business are run.

What's the big deal if it is 2009 vs 2010 anyway?

I think you should start a new thread for that question.

          j/k

I had one that sat for two months between inspection & shipping, but I'm pretty sure sure that inspection happens right after they get it completed & set up. The bottom line is that the inspection date on the card is what people go by, and even if it sat there for a while, it's not like it was being played or sitting out in the sunlight or something. There are plenty of things to obsess about when it comes to buying a guitar, but imo this isn't one of them.
