Would be nice for him to also do some sort of raffle as well.. i bet 95% of us on this board wont even be able to afford plain jane KE1 off him. but a raffle or something would give us a slim chance of actually winning and could raise a LOT of dough in the process..

And Ron. youre not the first to think that! LOL..

It also wouldn't surprise me, given Marty's popularity over there and knowing that the money will be going back into Japan anyway, if some wealthy Japanese guy/girl makes a huge donation, like $200,000 for the lot and then hangs the guitars in the Hard Rock Cafes over there or something.

That is cool of Marty to do, being a local there now.

Every small bit helps if they route the proceeds into the right hands, even though the cash unfortunately will not make a big difference with the billions in devastation.

He should put some nice reserves on them to make sure people cough up some meaningful cash.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. But Brett had a Friedman Firebird like that as well, so maybe Mayzan got them both from Brett?

I thought Brett owned that explorer at one time?

"I am going to LA right NOW to the climate controlled lockup where all the guitars have been in their cases since January 2000."

Hmmm, makes me wonder where that is exactly...

I have much respect for him, it's good that he tries to help the Japanese people, but he won't be able to help many people with that :/

My opinion of Marty just jumped up 1000%

Stand up move, I wish I was in a financial position to fight it out with the truly wealthy fanboys.

My hat is off to him.

Holy shit, that's incredible! Too bad I have no skrilla at the moment... I'll probably bid a bit just to get the prices up.

I am glad he is giving all of the proceeds to the tsunami victims in Japan. They need all the help they can get right now. Like others I am concerned for the FMIC Workers over there, I hope they are alright and will be.

I might get in on this, get one of his old Kellys.
