I hate strat bodies, I hate strat headstocks, I hate vintage trems, I hate the regurgitated crap that is the reissue, but DAMN that's a pretty guitar. [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] OOH! OOH! Its nice to see so many players here that have the cash to plunk down on one of these. I didn't realize how many rich folk were actually board members. I will wait to see how many of you deep pocketed players actually get one. My guess is that there will only be a very lucky few. I will tell you one thing for sure though... if that is a sample of what the pricing will be like now that Fender is the shopkeeper we can all rest assured that our Jackson/Charvel collections are going to take a serious jump in value!!

Hmmm.....I just don't get all the hype. If you ordered a Custom Shop bolt on, single hum, with SD neck profile like that, what would it MSRP at? $2200, and 40% off that would be $1500 street. You guys can say what you want about Fender delivering. In fact, that guitar is a Fender Stratocaster with a Charvel logo. To me, a guitar that "screams" needs at least two humbuckers and a Floyd, maybe even neck through body with a graphic for extra moans and groans. Again, that's a Fender Strat custom shop axe. I bet my entire Jackson collection that GMW could build the exact same instrument for more than 1/2 off what Fender wants. MSRP of $4000, sheesh. I play Jacksons anyway, I don't get the Charvel hype. And what's with the "new Fender pricing policy"? The $6500 list for the Dragon V wasn't a "new Jackson pricing policy". Pricing this piece at the same level as their own CS offerings is a smart move.

The SD dudes by and large will not be happy until they move the company back to SD, rehire all the old employees, TURN BACK TIME TWENTY F**KING YEARS, and make the same old s**t over and over.

I'm a RR/Warrior/KV/Kelly kinda guy myself but the thing here is...So many people here said..."Only if they would make a Strathead". Yeah they could have made it 21 frets I suppose, but they delivered the main thing people wanted. Did you want them to make something you could pass of as an actual San Dimas? The Strat is my perfect guitar, a Charvel is the perfect hotrodded strat!

I like the strat headstock but I like the pointy better. I still want some pointy Charvels with strat bodies, pickup options, floyds, solid colors, and a few graphics. (FLAMES!!!) I came real close to getting the reissue bullseyes, but I like more than one pickup in a guitar.

Hey, to each thier own. I didn't think this would go over well, but my phone has been ringing off the wall due to this guitar. If it were up to me, everyone would own Soloist's with Lighting Sky Graphics...........
