Hello and a little Help.

Hello ladies and gents; fellow guitar enthusiasts! I stumbled upon this guitar on Craigslist. I was considering taking an in-person look at it, though the owner has not contacted me. Nonetheless, for my education, and in the event the Owner does contact me, I was wondering if this Jackson (http://eastnc.craigslist.org/msg/2279454997.html) is a fake.

The pup configuration and the neck/headstock don’t match up with the models I have researched. It seems that neck should be on a HH setup. All that said, please understand I’m not a “Jackson guy”… yet

It's not that if it doesn't have a matching body to headstock that it's a fake, could be a customised guitar (a.k.a mutts/parts mutt) it appears that it may be a DK2 body with a DR6 neck.

did it? aah, my bad :L uhh, I did say "appears" in my defence :L in all honesty I'm not too familiar with the DR series, I just knew the DR6 was reverse head and sharkies... :L

Yah, DR3 does and very silly of me but when I posted that I forgot all the DR's had reverse sharkies aswell as Headstocks

I have never seen a DR3 with HSS setup, not to discount the theroy it could have been ordered that way; and that thought has crossed my mind.

So, assuming the parts are legit, and it's from the shop that way, what would a fair price be? Of course another assumption would have to be it's not ragged-out, and the electronics are in working order.

At $200... seems a little to good to be true.

Just went to look at it... It has a made in India sticker on the base of the neck.

Not sure what that equates to. It played ok. In severe need of a trip to the set up guy.
