I think it's the best "graphics" finish out of the lot of them, plus it's on the entire guitar, not just the front. It's a cool concept, and gives it a "fighter jet" appearance, IMO. It's a neat idea that nobody else is doing.

Personally, when I order my USA Select Warrior, I'm ordering mine in either Trans Red or Trans Green (apparently they're still available by request...), but if I can't find either, I'll settle on a "Bolted Steel."

Fighter jet? See if you can hunt down a Warbird  Way better than Bolted Steel, and it has a topless chick on it
      Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

While those "graphics finishes" are cool, IMO, the artwork suffers because they're replicated on such a number of guitars. For instance, the finish with the pile of skulls on it looks cool from yards away, but up close, there's not much detail.
This just goes to show why finishes and graphics come and go. Differing tastes. I have owned many graphic Jacksons over the years, and really like most graphics. Bolted steel does nothing for me. What's really funny is that the reason I don't like bolted steel is because there's not much detail compared to the other graphics.

        Isn't it ironic?

        Don't ya think?

I'm all for naked chicks, but just not painted ones on my guitars. Now, a naked chick lying on my guitar...yeah, that would be nice.

Sure is. I think the worst graphics ever put to a guitar have to go to this series that B.C. Rich had last year. There was a Bich model that was painted like a chick's ass in a thong. The whole concept was just...dumb.

Running a close second place to the "ass" is ESP's current lineup of "anime" characters.

Schecter had a series of bomber graphics on low end guitars recently which were similar.

Does it glow in the dark? If yes then i'd be game for a reverse headstock Predator blood green Warrior.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

Check out the new DBZ Bird of Prey. They have a real nice "nuclear green" finish on one of their models. It's a Trans-Neon Green. It looks very cool.

                        Nice.

I'm pretty sure Charvel750 still has at least one of those thong graphics on a Jackson. Tiny feet if I remember correctly...

Until you get to that abortion of a headstock with a hood badge on it.

I've seen a lot worse headstocks out there than that one. Look no further than those of an EVH, Music Man, or original Dean guitars...

I am less concerned about graphic &/or color options being discontinued, than the actual models. As others have stated before it is not likely an attempt to kill off the brand. All companies strive to be profitable. If something is selling & it is profitable then it stays until at such time it's sales become less profitable or stagnant. Not to mention fewer models and color/graphic options mean less on hand supplies. In this day and age the companies that figure a way to streamline will likely be around for awhile until the economy turns around significantly.

The music business is fickle at best & it's trends dictate what the instruments will be like. Case in point, prior to the 50s/60s the electric guitar was thought of as little more than a toy. The acoustic was the norm. Then the popular music became electrified and then the electric guitar took it's place at the top. During the 80's super strats & pointy guitars were the rage, then by early/mid 90's a pointy was garbadge and it was back to strats, jaguars, duosonics, les pauls, sg's, tele's, etc.

Why is it that everytime someone's "dream" guitar or finish is changed or discontinued then someone spews doom and gloom for the J/C brand?
KV DM PRO, SLSXMG, RRXMG, DXMG, LP P90 Goldtop_GSP1101_RM4: JF SL-OD100_Randall RT2/50_Peavey 4x12 cab
I'm loving the Jaded Faith mods. Going Egnater Dual mod route: Voxless, SL-OD100, Brahma #39, QuickMod GT

Good question. Automakers introduce and cancel finishes every year. They're all still in business.

Trends change. In 1988, men with poofy hair was in style, and in 1993, being depressed and wearing flannel were in style. Fortunately, neither of them are in style today!

FWIW, I'm pretty sure hairspray is still made. I inhale it for breakfast every morning while my wife is getting ready for work.
