The switch is for a JE-1500 para-mid EQ. It's a wah type effect.

Edit: Oops, Wilksy got this one. Started my reply then had to walk the dog. Should have refreshed...

I paid $994 shipped. The mini switch is for the JE-1500 wah thing, but I'm going to replace it with a dpdt mini switch for series/parallel switching for the neck pickup.

strung up and ready to go:

Looks like Wilkinsi has got you covered. I'm actually not sure if this thing even IS a je-1500. My JE-1200 says "je-1200" on the circuit board and I seem to remember the JE-1500 in my other warrior having the model number printed on it too. This doesn't have any model info, nor does it say jackson electronics. Plus, the on/off switch didn't bypass the system, it switched between wah and some sort of mid/bass boost. I'm starting to think it's a replacement part like the ModBoards from GuitarFetish.

I'm really diggin' the stock Jackson J-200R pickups. Oddly enough, I noticed all the stock pickups in both of my Warrior Pro guitars came wired in parallel instead of series from the factory. They're pretty damn powerful for parallel. I'm going to wire the bridge pickup in series and see how it sounds. Maybe I won't have to invest in the DiMarzio set I originally planned on.

Both my 1990 USA Warrior and 1991 Warrior Pro came with Kent Armstrongs. I've only ever seen a Warbird with Jackson badged pickups. AFAIK, the manner in which it behaves that you describe is how its supposed to operate. When the two-way switch is off, the tone pot acts as a mid-range; when switched on, it acts as the wah sweep. The volume pot is much smaller than a conventional one, and is mounted to the board.

Ask Charvel750, or he may chime in.

I thought only the USA Warriors had Armstrongs. According to this site they are J200R pickups http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/jack...ries_1990-1995 The J200R and Kent Armstrong rail pickups look identical, so I checked the wire color coding. The rail pickups in both of my warriors don't follow the current Kent Armstrong color codes (maybe the colors were different in the 90's?). They seem to follow the Jackson color codes (reverse phase Seymour Duncan colors). But this is where I get really confused... My warriors came stock with the bare, red and black wires going to ground and the green and white together as the hot connection (strange, right?) The only time I've seen two leads together as Hot and three wires to ground is in parallel wiring. But when I rewired the rail pickups in standard series they didn't get louder or fuller, so I'm a bit confused now.

I prefer no volume drop when switching pickups which is how my Coral Sea USA is. My Warrior Pro was wired parallel until I got pissed off with the volume drop and had an Invader put in instead.

Thanks. I just put some DiMarzio rail pickups in it and it looks (and sounds) even more badass.
