play them? I lost the combination to the vault so I haven't even seen them in years. It does warm my heart to know they are securely housed in a controlled environment underground.

Cool, now that we're friends. Um. Can you price these guitars for me.... I agree though eh, buy them to play them!

Never pulled a chick with a guitar. They are usually far too heavy, I'd be afraid like, the neck would snap or something.

I used to think I bought Jacksons to play them, but it seems I buy them now to look at, talk about, day dream about, to feed a never ending urge to buy more Jacksons, and....to play them.

i buy all my guitars to play. when i get bored or see something i really like i buy it, sometimes i need to sell one to buy one, lately tho i haven't sold anything.

while i dont really care how much such and such guitar is worth you hit a point when you cant avoid thinking about how much money you have tied up in guitars. Im in the process of insuring my guitars, so yes i guess i do care about the $. if something were to happen its not easy replacing a closet full of guitars you've spent more than half your life buying, lets face it NICE guitars aint cheap.

Its not the guys with sick collections or the old crew asking what there stuff is worth, its the newB or the guy that wants to hock his uncles guitar....

I have no problem with people selling their Jacksons to buy inferior brands. If they want to settle for the $200 their Performer Kelly or Rhoads will bring to buy an Agile LP copy and pretend they're Slash, fuck 'em.

Closest I've come to selling one is when I traded an LTD for my new Dinky. I play the shit out of it by the way. I play the shit out of all of them. In fact, after I steal Randys Concorde, I just may drill a fuck hole in the back.

I've only ever sold two PRS guitars recently (shipped that last one off tonight in fact) when I realized I really didn't like PRS guitars even though I had had the CE24 since 1992.

I used to play a Santana SE all the time, that PRS donated to my high school (I used to live in Maryland, about 20 minutes from the factory). It was nice, or at least I thought it was when I was 16. Haven't touched one since. Paul is way too proud of his axes, which keeps me outside of looking distance.

Yep real tired of it myself. About a month ago a newbie asked how much on a guitar and when I told him what I thought he argued with me. I'm one of the few people on the board that has had one of those guitars too. Go look at what shit's sold for on ebay recently, that's what they're worth. Or go look at the used inventor at GC or gbase and take off a few hundred and that's what they're worth.

Well, it should be no surprise that people come here to ask about prices, as all the other forums guide people to the JCF whenever someone asks about prices.

I buy my guitars to play. If I won't either gig with it or record with it, I save my money until "the one" comes along. Unfortunately, I always find a way to justify another guitar purchase, even when I'm lucky to play 3-4 gigs a year and don't do much recording except when working on an album.

Well I still reckon that if someone is looking to buy you can help them out.

Prices vary wildly between old stock, last of the left on the shop floor dogs with an untameable action and a twisted neck, to different countries with their supervaluation inflation, fat eurocrats and government taxes. And a lot of us haven't got the time to study Ebay markets all day and night long.

Of course if some talentless wonder is looking to price their extensive Jackson investments for an ego trip or a brucey bonus then I'm out also and with you all on that one.

Buy I still reckon the experienced have to help the inexperienced in this life, else where are we gonna be. A difference of an extra £500 is a lot to someone who isn't a successful working full time musician and still holds a job in construction. Hell, its a lot to a successful working musician. Why pay it to some ebay or other importer/exporter with hands smoother than a baby's bottom? In my book middlemen are the evilest scum on the planet, next to the government and investment bankers, they take little financial risk and hook up buyers and sellers.

Jees some of you guys on both sides of the argument are more tightly wrapped than my gran in winter. You ought to come over to my forum and talk about Ford Transits, new world order conspirancy theories, engines, vomit, chips, gravy and the benefits of pvc in sexual relationships.

Anyhow. I see that new old stock Magenta 2H USA Pro mod sold that was listed by Rainbow music after I listed the link on here....so maybe $700 for it was cheap then afterall. A lesson learned. Don't discuss your intentions and trust your instincts.
