    Agreed

Now that I think about it as well the Floyd Specials Jackson uses are not too bad, still might check them out...

Actually, Papa Roach's song Last Resort is a rip-off of Iron Maiden's Hallowed Be Thy Name... but they claim to never have really listened to Iron Maiden. What does that have to do with the discussion?

So I would say yes there is at least some equipped with the Special.
Maybe not all of them. We will see. Schecter and LTD both have model levels with FRT-2000 and Specials accoring to price.
This is the best I could do but there is something under the "Floyd Rose"...

Some will have EMG and some HZ...

i am guessing there might be a higher end x series and a lower end. HZ models have the special Floyd and maybe the ones with actual EMGS had an FRT-2000 or an original Floyd? Because in this it looks like the HZ Soloist/ Dinky is the only one that has the Special that we know of.

I have a thought. Maybe from now on the X series will be like the pro-line in that there will be lower end bolt on ones with the HZ pickups and Floyd Special bridges and then there will be higher end ones with Floyd Rose FRT-2000/1000 trems and Regular EMGs and neck thrue bodies...

If that is the case then This will be very good for all of us!

I just hope they offer more color choices besides black, gray, and occasionally white.

Agreed. Make some red and blue ones or something. At least the White RR With the black pinstripes is a step in the right direction.

From what Eaeolian said to me on the thread about this at the Sevenstring.org forum the MG Series will be blending into the Pro Series.

From what I have been reading this might be the new MG Series and complements what I said earlier, which is good!

Ibanez used to use this one color called "jewel blue" that was the most gorgeous shade of blue ever used on guitars, and no picture of the color does it justice. It was a rich blue like a cobalt glass bottle. Now they only use that color on their cheap guitars, which sucks. I wish Jackson would use a blue color like that instead of the dull lifeless dark blue they do use.

Plus Jackson made a custom "king Rhoads" for NAMM a few years ago in Eerie Dess GREEN that was also insanely gorgeous that I would love to see as an option. The blue and red swirls were OK but the green really popped out.

Plus metallic copper is an under-used color.

Plus the transparent "chlorine blue" for the Phil Collen model would look nice on other models.

I saw that EDG Rhoads. Gorgeous looking guitar! That model itself needs to be a USA Select model.

It's actually a rip-off of "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter", tsk tsk tsk.

A buddy of mine had bought a brand-new BC Rich Jr. V for 300GBP (~$500) blow-out from E-Bay. Neck-through construction, Korean Floyd, diamond inlays, etc. but MIC and it turned out to be a fantastic player and really solidly built. Sure, the pickups were junk but a Duncan Invader fixed it just right. Either way, i believe J/C have learned from past mistakes when it comes to imports. It seems that FMIC has invested a lot into both the Charvel Desolation series and Jackson X-series and i'm glad to finally see J/C get off their asses and make some changes to their (admittedly dated and flabby) product line(s). As wilksy said, i don't care where they're made, as long as they're well-built, so fingers crossed. They really stepped it up a notch with the Pro series the past couple of years or so, so let's hope that this new X-series will live up to that and bring in some revenue - that would be a good thing for all of us.
