    • Taken the plunge and I have a snow-white slsxmg on order. Sadly for the UK it's going to be late October before they come in. Boooooo

I agree, the white does look off, I notice many Ibanez guitars have the white binding vs the ivory, Jackson binding always looks way sexier to me.

I think its such crap that they are building in India. I wish they'd stick with Japan, the Japanese make some fine guitars. the JS series that came from India were a pile of crap. So many unfinished edges and unclean joints, just my opinion a strong one in this case.

I don't think the india guitars are so bad, remember they're entry level. They're better than the other shit other companies are putting out at higher prices. The prices on the japanese guitars have put them out of range of many people.

            • I dunno man, the KVX10 that were the same price as the new X series was made in Japan and is a good product. Dean's made in Korea models are excellent, also some of ESP's LTD line (entry level models) as well as Epiphone's are way better quality than the JS made in India. Honestly, if I was any body over at Jackson I would never want my name associated with the quality of the made in India guitars that I've seen. I bought one of the JS series Kelly's and even after a $100 pro setup I had to sell it, it was going to be a beater guitar but I just couldn't stand the craftsmanship.

              • If your going to take the route of entry level guitars with the focus of cutting costs and offering very low pricing then I wish they would come out with a value brand, as appose to tainting the Jackson name, or raise their standards and demand better craftsmanship.

                • You must have gotten a dud. The js dinkys I've played around on are pretty decent guitars. And wtf a $100 set up? Did mike Shannon do it himself?

                  • Mike, have you played one of the new X-series? No? Then how do you know about the craftsmanship?
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

                    • The newer chinese and indonesnia made ltds are shit especially the fret ends. I haven't played a good epiphone since the 80's. Korean made guitars are great not these new ones. I had a ltd mh401qm that I paid almost $700 for. I couldn't get the action very low, you could see the die they sued on the rosewood, you could even see the fret ends push out the binding all down the neck. maybe I'm wrong but the korean dean's are not low end and are about a grand. the low end are chinese and are shit. All the JS series guitars I've played are pretty desent, but I will wait and see these x series myself. I don't know how long a wait that will be since the guys at sam ash and guitar center don't even know these are coming out. lol

Before I started buying Warriors, I liked my JS-1 a lot.

                          • I played the Demmelition PDX.

I found the guitar to be of very good quality, and I would love to buy one of these if the quality is the same.

I am assuming that the X series are gonna be made in the same factory in India.
                            Tell me about it!

                            • If these guitars were made in Japan, they'd sell for $1,000+ and would thus not be the entry-level guitars that Jackson is trying to market with the X series. Anyway, there are already Japanese versions of a number of these models, if that's what you are looking for.

I agree about the MII ESP's. The other problem I've seen is that the neck has a very sharp edge with no roll to the board.
About, the EPI, Check out the Current Nighthawks. I was pleasantly surprised at that. Can't speak for the MIC stuff as the Nighthawk is outsourced to Samick from what I've been told.
