c)you never answered the implied question as to whether you would be ok with your daughter being a porn star.

I have no problem with porn.
The people who do it are messed, but that's their business.
I have an ever so slight problem with it being promoted by legitimate companies though.
The fact that a company as big as fmic will use a porn star the last 2 years to promote their product is a little crazy to me.
In my mind, it's like jackson is saying "It's good to be in porn" "We like models who have had a dick in every orifice of their body at the same time".
I can see the catalog being planned for next year.

to a certain degree. The ones who say they're not are just greater hypocrites. I don't have a daughter, and if I did I wouldn't choose pornstar as her career, but it wouldn't be my call and I wouldn't
have much choice. I wouldn't disown her or treat her as subhuman if she did that.

What makes you think you're superior to a porn star? Are they subhuman to you, or are you just superhuman? It's your story bro; tell it any way you want.

If you go out and play shows, and besides getting paid you pick up on girls who dig the band, that in effect is part of your compensation for the gig - a part not paid for by the venue itself, usually, but still, a part. You got paid to play, be the center of attention, then pick the chick you want. The normal date scenario for civilians is pick her up, take her out, pay for everything, and maybe you get lucky, maybe not.

So it's okay to get paid WITH sex, but not FOR sex? Let me think about that one... [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I think some of you are making a bigger deal of this than it warrants.

Who cares what she does for a living? What did the pretty blond in the old Swag section of Jacksonguitars.com do when she wasn't modelling? Does anyone know? Why does it matter? Do you like the pics? No? That's fine. Yes? Then even better.

Now some may argue that Jackson is capitalising on the fact that she makes her living having sex on camera, but where do we draw the line? What if a scantily-clad Shannon Elizabeth was posing with a range of Jackson guitars instead? She makes her living getting naked on camera. Would that be okay then? Maybe we should have Estelle Getty in neck-to-knee bathers modelling Jackson guitars instead.

As someone already stated, she's just modelling the guitars. Didn't anyone here seriously buy a Seymour Duncan amp back in the day, just because there was a hot chick kneeling on a bed, wearing nothing but a sheet on the old ads?
