  • RR Profesional...

Hi, As i dont know much about guitars i thought i would ask you profesionals about this.

I was looking at buying an RR5, But an RR profesional from 1985 came along ( in good condition ) for £450 ish.

Is the profesional worth that amount of money or is it fairly priced?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks....

There is no such thing as a 1985 RR Professional. They didn't come out until 1990.

He means this one. Rhoads Pro.

The seller is largely talking out of his mudwhistle. I have it down as a 1990 and in pretty lousy order but not beyond help.

...oh you'd already posted the link.

DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BIDDING AGAINST ME!

Nah, just kidding. RRs are not my bag.

            BUT THEY ARE MINE!

Had my eye on that also, but the recessed floyd turns me off every time. Binding or no binding, 90's Jackson MIJ quality or not, I just can't get hard with it in there.

Finally, someone else is with me on the raised floyd. I thought I was all alone...

450 quid is a bit much for that IMO, but if it's all there and there is no real damage to it you will probably not find a neck through RR in UK for much cheaper.

That looks really cool but...I got an RR5 with a hard case for £300 a few weeks ago. That RR in the link you posted is already at £500, I would shop around.

A guitar like that was almost my first RR for $500, but I got into a fight with the Aholes at Guitar Center (the wings were badly chewed up and they wouldn't budge on the price, and I knew they paid $250 for it in trade) and told them to stick it.

A few weeks later Siggy14 (Todd) on this board put a 1992 USA RR1 in next to mint shape up for sale for $750 and I took that instead.

I can't believe that thing is up at £520 with two hours still to go. The guy hasn't even bothered cleaning the fucking thing.
Is it really worth that much when you can get an RR5 (with Blackouts or EMGs or Duncans) in a hard case for under £400 no problem (or even £300 if you find a good deal)???
