Floyd Rose Trems

Does anybody know who supplies the Floyd Rose trems for the C/J's? I assume they are the German version.

USA guitars are Schaller-made (German) Original Floyds. Imports listed with an Original Floyd are most likely the Korean version (for example, the Charvel Pro Mods). Otherwise, there are lower-level imports with FR Specials and licensed Floyds.

I wouldnt worry about it anyhow, you cant do doublestops or compound bends with them. Im tellin ya, fellas, your gonna want a stop tail bridge on there.

I was waiting for that. I was debating whether I should post it, but I figured I would wait. yea, fuck that floyd man, just take your makita screw gun and bolt the strings to the body. its the only way to do doublestop bends without tuning issues.

this is correct. I dont think they have blues rock chatter in Germany, therefore the Floyds never had any installed when they were built.

Indeed, Tüv testing does not cover BRC
It has been tried on the Audi TT, but it had to be replaced by a spoiler, apparently you can't blues Rock Chatter through a low speed curve at 100mph+ without instigating a double stop

MikeStrat- don't let these Floyd haters distract ya. Some folks just ain't got enough finger strength, dexterity or gray matter to use a Floyd effectively. Any schmoe can do double stops & compounds on a hard tail but it takes a real man to pull it off on a floating Floyd.

yeah...i am not sure where this whole "i can't do double stops on a floyd" shit comes from. i do them just fine. it is just a feel thing based on how much tension you have on the trem-springs....

....Interesting....I beg to differ - it takes a new age, sensitive man to do unison bends on Floyd guitars....(Translation = Poofters who like doing the dishes and vacuuming. ).

All an oldskool neanderthal needs, guitar wise is some strings tensioned roughly tensioned over two pieces of wood with a metal bit at one end and tuners at the other. You can't beat it...Uggh Uggh, Baloo Baloo...oggg oggg.

Seriously though, so the Jap Pro mods have Korean Original Floyds...Aren't these Floyd Rose 'Specials' which is basically the company in house licensed version of the OFR? So is the metal edges on these as good as the German made ones or are they inferior in any way?

Do they say 'Special' on them? Are they special? Not that I'd know as I play a old tissue box with some elastic band stretched over it with 'Jackson' crudely written on it in Biro. Rock ON!

Blues Rock Chatter did exist in Germany at one time, however during and after WW2 it was driven underground into the mountain areas. It staged a comeback briefly in the early 1980's, however Angela Merkul has now officially banned it, because it cannot be quantified, it has been deemed non productive and of no use to the European cause, which these days is typified by paying large salaries to non elected Euro MP's who walk around in circles and bailing out failing countries economies, the citizens of which, the banks have reduced to slavery.
