I thought Trivium was up to bigger stages than that.

So he dropped his guitars 5 times already?

(Though I once saw a Gibby SG go flat face on a concrete floor because of a loose strap and it had no damage whatsoever)

No I meant the fifth guitar that was destroyed on tour.

My Korean Dean couldn't last dick all. I imagine that's all they got, if they couldn't even get treated good by Dean.

I haven't liked any of the import Deans I've played. I would rate them well behind Schecter and LTD, and many miles behind the Japanese Jacksons.

As far as Mustaine goes, I'm not sure his marketing value is really enough anymore to throw much money at him. Old guys like us already have our guitar preferences set, and young guys couldn't give a shit about Dave Mustaine. As much as I dislike all the current "core" bands, the fact is that someone like Bulb from Periphery probably has more guitar marketing influence now in the metal world than Mustaine does.

I appreciate and respect your opinion pro-fusion, but as a younger metal head, surrounded by younger metal heads, I can tell you that Dave Mustaine is still VERY relevant. My local Guitar Center has 3 Dean Mustaine Vs, and only 3 Jacksons total. We need him, badly.

I have to admit some of those djent kids give me a chuckle, especially over at gstring.org. They obsess over having nice guitars with thin necks, low action, and the more strings the better etc and then you go watch one of their Youtube videos and they are chugging along with one finger on drop tuned power chords.

I'll take your word on that. However, I wouldn't base much judgment on what GC carries. They must have some kind of thing for Dean at the moment, because every GC I go to these days has a whole bunch of craptacular import Deans in stock. A couple years ago, I don't believe they even carried Dean at all.

I remember not being able to find a major retailer with any ESP/LTDs in stock about 7 years ago. Such a trendy industry.

All my guitar students (and a lot of their friends) love Mustaine.

                        Periphery?

All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

Before you even talk about it like that maybe you should actually see for what it really is, that being said its nowhere near of that caliber.
