You know, the one that's always handy, right next to the computer/couch/tv that you pick up and noodle on more than the others?

I rotate them. Got two places I play guitar- in front of the computer (office) and down in the basement studio. Typically, I rotate which guitars I play because in gig situations, I switch between 4 different guitars based on the song we're covering. Gotta stay comfortable on all of them. In the office, I go for months on a guitar that isn't a main gig ax but has all the features that a gig ax does, like 24 frets, floating Floyd, etc.

lately, my "pick up and noodle during TV time" guitar is my fender duo sonic. the small body and 24" scale make it easy to play while i am kicked back in the recliner watching "the big bang theory" re-runs on TV. plus it sound KILLER through my egnater...nice, woody tones that inspire me to work on new melodies and jazz chord vamps....GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Lately it's between my RR Concept or my Rev. Soloist. My other soloist is in drop D so I leave it in the case. It's been nice because I've had many months now of playing the Rev. Soloist and bonding more with the guitar. When I first got it, it took a bit of time to clean it all up and get it all set up. Even then I only played it every so often. I recently replaced the plastic nut w/ a Tusq Graphite nut on the RR so it has been getting some play as well, plus it has 10's while my Soloists have 11's... I guess it depends which I feel like playing. It's nice to have options...God I love playing guitar My bitches...

This won't be a popular one to mention, but I have a Gibson made Kramer Striker that still to this day is one of the most comfortable necks I have played. pickups are ass, but man does that guitar feel good.In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

I rotate them pretty regularly. Gig guitars tend to stay in their cases (more's the pity - great guitars, but rarely play them around the house). Spent quite a while grabbing the Samick TV-Twenty and enjoying a fatter neck for a change of pace. The Model 2 is always a favourite.
Probably the most grabbed guitar around the house/computer is Sully Guitars JS-0002. Such a comfortable neck.Hail yesterday

Weird I was just thinking this today.
Czech BC Rich Exotic Classic Mockingbird. Gibson scale, loose strings, fat tones, TOM Bridge, very basic.
Not for long, just only have two guitar stands at the mo and the rest are in cases, and I'm too lazy to get them out when I get the urge , also most guitar damage is done in the first two minutes of getting the thing out and playing it and I'm often tired from work, others are in various stages of construction/deconstruction or missing pickups. Play the Kramer copy a lot unplugged - love the near on inch thick oiled neck. Have a feeling the 2004/5 Charvel Sand Dimas thing will soon dominate, got some kind of Duncan in it which spits out the fattest rock crunching tones and harmonics without much gain - ever and sustains forever too. Think the same pickup is in the SL3, but that thing is just tonally dead, kind of mushy sounding and has no sustain, although harmonics are good but not great.Last edited by ginsambo; 11-10-2011, 08:09 PM.You can't really be jealous of something you can't fathom.
