  • determining charvel models

I have a 90's Charvel made by Jackson/Charvel with JAckson active pickups h,s,s double cutaway bolt on neck. It was made in Japan serial numbers starting 270418 and I have no clue how much it is worth or what model it is. The pickup selectors uses toggle switches instead of a five way selector and eveyone I have asked cannot help me. Does anyone have a clue??

Sounds like you have a Model 4, which is actually pre-90s... What kind inlays does it have?

It`s definately a Model 4, no question, probably from around `87-`88 unless it has a Kahler.

I believe what Todd(Tekky) was getting at with the inlay question was if it has sharkfin inlays it's a Model 4-A. If it has dots it's a Model 4.

The serial # makes it a '87 so it should have sharkfins.

          check this link for value
