I watch every episode - usually just to see who the guest musician is. I thought what Warren did was great. He didn't try to over play. He was just noodling about and sounded fantastic to me. His fingers look really weird when he plays, but the sound is 100% Demartini and is instantly recognizable.

Also never even thought about the endorsement side of things. Being a guitar player and a regular JCF member it was just common knowledge what he was playing - Charvel.

I recorded it, finally got around to watching it. There was one commercial break send off I got a kick out of. Warren was playing something really Goofy and the camera cut to Dave Mustain looking at him like "what the f**k are you doing a$$hole?"

I saw the episode and was disappointed by Warren. He's one of my all time favorites and he let an opportunity to shine pass by. I think these older guitar heros should take every chance they can get to show the younger guys what's up. It didn't happen in this case.

Well most of what he played was solos from Ratt songs. Out of context of the songs, they aren't nearly as flashy as sweeping, multiple-finger-tapping stuff. But it's a matter of opinion which one is better. I have aspired to play more like Warren and similar players than any other style. It isn't the most flashiest of playing, but it is what I prefer.

Before I answer that, does anyone happen to know how many $25000 Frankenstrat copies have been sold by now?

Chris Broderick was a much better guest musician. And he was playing one of his Signature Models.

I don't think he has a good sound live (I have seen ratt more then a few times) He should have said sound techs in the studio But his guitars are cool looking.

of course it's very important to play pseudo-baroque finger exercise licks in front of Brian Johnson

It was cool seeing Warren on tv. At least he was showing his Charvels off.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this. I have always liked Warren's playing, and was excited when I saw he was the guest musician, but was very disappointed by his playing - and his tone was horrible! That was probably the bigger letdown, as his tone (on record) was one of the most appealing aspects of his playing.
