Reminiscing since the new year is upon us, and we're all going to die in 2012 anyway lol so I've been thinking of guitars come and gone.
I started Jackson with a trans blue DR3 and quickly got a pearl white KV4 ... sold both to get two USA SL1s, one in trans blue and one in trans amber
Then onto a Y2KV in HRF, KE1T in cherry sunburst quilt (I think), XTRR in snakeskin, DXMG in black ...
Wasn't that good of a guitar player back then, didn't really know what I had, experimented a lot with different guitars but wound up selling to buy others over and over again ... a learning process I guess.
Had a blue bengal SL2H.
Moved on to the import models for awhile. Had several DK2s in HRF and several DXMGs. Had the DK2LE when it came out. Got a DK1 with EMGs in blue ghost flames. Even picked up a couple of the Barney purple DK2Ss.
Had one of the Charvel Traditional models.
Then when the new Charvels came out, I owned a red and black one (Sand Dimas 2 hum) ... sold those and now have ...
black and white Japanese San Dimas models, which I really dig.
Not including several Fender strats, a Kramer, a Hamer, and a Washburn, and quite a few Carvins (got one on the way right now, in fact).
Overall, I think for Jacksons the XTRR was my favorite but I had to sell it to pay the rent. Coming in second, I loved my DK2 models. I always felt they played better than the USA Jacksons I owned, except for the XTRR, which was just an insane guitar.
But now I think I'm more of a Charvel player. The San Dimas Japanese models are just awesome quality and a great representation of what a guitar is supposed to be.
