It should be Chushin Gakki (same facility as Jackson)

I'm just waiting now for all the ebay ads stating "rare, no longer being produced, Japan-built Jackson"

But in some videos of the J/C booth at namm 2012 there is a few Japanese Charvels on display, not the So-Cal and or San dimas pro mods from what I've seen though, just these http://www.synergyguitars.com/charve...rvel-Group.jpg and now when I checked Charvels website, two of Warren Demartinis signatures are gone, the skull one is still left.

Is it normal to be this freaked out about guitars going of the market? I think this is terrible!

Those could simply be ones shipped before the plant closure. Hopefully a new plant is being found to resume production. To me this closing means either a drop in quality if production is moved to India or a gap in the product line if no other Japan plant is found.

I agree, just seems a bit strange that Jackson was quick to remove most of their Japanese guitars from their website but Charvel is still listing the Pro-mods, but that may just be laziness from Charvel since it still says "Copyrigt 2011" on their website. Well I just hope they get a mid range line back within a few months at least. Just having the X series and the USA select is bound to fail.

I've always felt a kind of brotherhood for the workers there. And lot of gratitude, too ... If this was confirmed, it would be an awful, sad, terrible story ... for them, first ... Think about their knowledge, ability ... All this, forever lost ...

We can surely hope that they can find employment if not in another plant building guitars for Jackson/Charvel, then at least for another guitar manufacturer.

I asked Jackson Japan (Yamano Gakki) and they said "we can't talk anything about future of Japanese Jackson now".

That's pretty much confirmation right there. Sucks to hear that it really is true. Damn, I feel like a kid that lost my puppy...

So it will be Chinese and Indonesian imports from here on. Isn't it possible that the company will simply go through a reorganization?

The underlying issue here is the condition of the country as a whole right now. Many areas there are still recovering from the disasters and still don't even have power. Restructuring can't fix that.
