I emailed Fender about the future of the Jackson Pro/Mg series a few days ago and I got an answer today.

''The factory in Japan that was producing these guitars for us unexpectedly closed and we had to discontinue the products that were made there until we can find a suitable production facility to produce the guitars that were in that price range while maintaining the quality that those series have been known for.''

Hopefully we'll see some new mid range Jacksons soon! I really don't care if they aren't made in Japan, I just hope the have the same quality.

Thomann.de is now listing some of the discontinued models again, hopefully Jackson/Fender have found a new factory to produce the pro series in.

Note the ''available since: May 2012'', the guitar is in stock today as well.

I'm definitely getting that Adrian Smith with a maple board. The Mille model is pretty badass, and it's about damn time he gets a signature. He's been playing all sorts of Jacksons for a long time now.

That should be the news you were looking for. Check out the Adrian Smith X Series!
Nah German dude was asking him about other models, not Mile's king v and Adrian's strat and Jackson guy replied about other models coming this summer.

Oh man! I realise that it's probably being made in India, which is not as cool as Japan, but after reading some positive reviews on here and drooling over the USA Adrian Smith AND probably not being able to catch a Pro Mod before they disappear, I can see myself getting an X Series Adrian Smith.

    Nice one Jackson.

Those are really sick! Glad to see Mille finally got one. Hopefully it develops into a USA series without the "must have" X series specs, (rosewood fingerboard, Floyd Rose Special, Basswood body), because that's really nice.
