Back in 86/87, I took guitar lessons at a local shop in town here. Before my lessons, I always played this Charvel model 3 guitar they had. It was my dream guitar at the time. One day after my lesson, my mom was talking to the owner of the shop about the guitar & she said to me "so.... this is the one you have your heart set on? Of corse, I'm like YEAHHH!! She told the owner that she'd take it & told me to pick out the amp I wanted also. I couldn't believe this was happening. I wanted a Marshall JCM 800. It was kinda expensive but she said "ok, we"ll take that too". I was shocked that this was happening. I had no clue I was gonna be getting this gear. It was probably the best day of my life at this point. lol. Anyway, my mom had cancer at the time. She had saved money for a really long time to do this for me. In a way I believe it was a farewell gift for me. My mom was always the "cool mom" that all my friends also loved. She was such a sweet & thoughtful person. She passed away a year later. Like a dumbass, I traded the guitar in the early 90's. Money was tight & I needed a new amp at the time. I've regretted this every day of my life since. Well, after 20 years of searching for the same exact guitar I finally found one. A guy in CA was selling one on ebay. I contacted him & he took it off the site & held it for me. Also gave me a great deal on it. I got it last week!! Just seeing the thing brought back so many good memories for me! It plays exactly like my old one, same hardware, trem, pups, etc & I LOVE it!! Finally redeemed myself!! This was my first "nice" guitar & I'll keep this one forever! Sorry for ranting! lol. Here she is!!
