        also note randy also changed to a black powdercoated std trem at least that what i am told the knobs and trem changed but i was told both were solid BRASS ! one chromed one black ! , randy ruled [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] ! see ya , alz

          Uh, back to Randy's V.....
          Did it just have 21 frets? Also, I've seen pictures where it had chrome hardware and white knobs, and then other pics where it had black hardware and black knobs. Anyone else notice that?

              Randy often said had problems keeping it in tune too. The bridge may have been changed to help that. then the colors were just swapped because of a taste for change. The Danelectro neck was a gift from George Lynch because Randy had remarked at how nice the feel of it was. The fretboard was kept stock (25" scale) & the bowties were worked around the existing dot inlay.
