  • i have 2 serial numbers here but idk how to read them.

I have what I believe is a Jackson DR7 and a Jackson performer ps2. Sense fender is useless when it comes to serial number tracking I came here. Both are located on the neck plate and I wanna know where they come from and when they were made.

    DR7 - 00070760
    PS2 - 1014752

Pics? A serial number on an import tells nothing about the model, but can tell country of origin, and can narrow the date of manufacture. Pics should be uploaded to a host site, then copy/paste the [IMG] code here.

I have a PS4 serial 1017688 I was almost convinced it is MiK but now it has come to my attention that it might be MIJ because of the offset dot inlays. I really wish I unbolted re neck on Monday when I put the new strings.

If it has a trans finish its probably mij. If it has the funky control cavity its most likely MIK. If it has a sticker on it that says made in japan, it most likely is.

Any pics of what the funky control cavity looks like?
And trans finish? Mine is metallic blue, almost turquoise depending on the lighting.
I have to share this. I just made a google search on "made in Korea Jackson electronics control cavity" and this was one of the first image hits.

This guitar would be an example of the trans finish, "san dimas" style control cavity, ps4. It is most likely mij. I cant make out the serial number.

Yeah doesn't matter much where it was built. The thing feels and sounds great.
