Since you are a total beginner, you have the opportunity to make things easier on yourself in the future by learning to play righty. You'll have more models to choose from as you upgrade, most importantly.
As for learning to play, there are websites that cover that, including YouTube. Learn everything you can, even if it's just how to play songs you like, and worry about note relationships later.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
