  • Took the Fender Factory tour - posted some pics

Sorry that this isn't totally related to Jackson/Charvel but you might find the pics interesting. I've been wanting to take a tour of the Fender factory since I heard about it last year. I live about an hour away, and finally took a day off work to get over there.

The visitors center is fantastic! You can plug-in and play almost every guitar they have. The tour is awesome, if a bit too fast. I was snapping pics like crazy trying to get it all in. It's amazing how much hand work still gets put into all those guitars even with all the CNC machines around.

Jacksons were all over the tour and there were a lot on display in the visitors center.

If you are in SoCal, Go! If you are planning to come here, you definitely need make the tour part of you trip.

I've posted some pictures if anyone wants to take a gander.

(I've set the photo album to 'public' so you should not need a facebook account to see the pics. Please let me know if there is a problem.)

Thanks for the pix, I love that stuff. I did the Jackson/Charvel factory tour back in 2003 when they were still in Ontario. Fun times!

Good to see Dave Murray's toy in there, what about Adrian, Janick &/or Steve?

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. And did I see that production board correctly that they misspelled Warren's name as "DiMartini"?
