It just occured to me that my new DK1 has the old San Dimas-style smaller electronics cavity route. And yet every other current USA J/C Soloist or Dinky Strat has the larger route. ...Why is the DK1 different?
At first, I was thinking they went with the smaller route to keep more wood in the body, as there is also a cavity for the single battery powering the EMGs, too. But my PC1 - which is 18V double-battery powered - has the larger route.
Weird. Anyone know why the difference?
