soloist elite or slat 3

Looking at possibly getting a soloist. The Elite and SLAT 3 -6 are basically the same price. What would you get and why?

I would go for the slat3 , because I like the archtop.

I'd go elite because if I'm not mistaken it's poplar, flat top and ebony.

From what I could find the elites are alder. Either way I'd go with the elite. The elite has ebony and neck binding, the slat3-6 has rosewood and no binding. I think the binding and ebony put the elite way above the slat.
