Sounds awesome, Jack! I got my 7-string last year with only one humbucker, maple body and 5-piece mahogany/maple neck. Thinking of a DC125 soon or a "DC131" with H/S.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
Ive had loads of luck when I just relax a bit and have some patience. I've scored a whole bunch of great guitars in the used market. Some were parts that took me s few years to gather together and others I was just there at the right time for an online auction. I saw that if you have patience instead of plunking 500$ down on chinease/indoneasian junk you can still get a great guitar with a very minimum budget. *!!! *I bought a charvel last year on Ebay that was missing a trem and pickups WOW what a great guitar..
