The 550's have dreadnought body shapes and the 625's have jumbo shape bodys. Hence a 550c is a dreadnought body with the cutaway. I have a 550 bought of e-bay for 100 bucks and while it isn't a Taylor or a Martin a well made guitar with mahogany back and sides and a spruce top for a bill ain't bad. They sound pretty good and at that price you don't have to baby it. JMO Dana

I have a 625C in Natural. For the money that they can be had, very nice acoustics. I believe they can still be had on Ebay for $250-$350, and they show up probably about 1 or two a month. Be patient and you'll have one soon.

i got a charvel 550C (001187).
bought it for 80$ plays real well, looks just like hers but with bindings around body and neck
