Since I've posted photos of the Kellys, thought I'd put some up of the King V too... then while I had all the Jacksons out, I thought I might as well get the LTD too and photograph the lot! Here it is then
King V. This started out as a KVX10, with a droopy headstock and sharkfin inlays. I replaced the neck a few years ago as I really like the SLS headstock (or "Smurf's Hat", as I like to call it). Pickups are IronGear Steam Hammers - they're not connected yet, hence the holes where the knobs should be. The chrome EMGs in the KE2 came out of this (I put them in to replace the original Duncan Designed units).
The "inlays" are actually stickers from inlaystickers.com - they're really good, you can't feel them at all when you're playing.
War wounds - zip gave way on a gig bag and it fell out O_o
This is the original neck plate. Top right screw is in there; the head sheared when I was tightening it.
And finally, my trusty LTD EC1000FMP. Until the Kellys came along, this was my main gigging guitar. I've replaced the bridge with a Graphtec one, and added the Ankh decal (which is actually the label from a bottle of scotch whisky), other than that this one's stock
I do love the abalone on this. It's a bit "bling", but it suits this guitar I think. Earvana compensated nut is standard fit
