And I have to say, that the price may be high. I did two of those if my memory serves. One was a NAMM piece.

It confuses guys when they see guitars like that priced like that, and simply think, "Mike must be charging through the nose." It keeps guys from calling me and finding out that I am quite affordable. So when I see these instances and have a chance to step in, I do.
Mike, I get your point, and I'm not criticizing the asking price of the guitar. I'm just pointing out that I can't see any reason why someone would want a guitar that looks aged but is in fact is a perfectly new guitar, or a restored one as in this case. But of course, everything is down to the taste of the owner.

In fact my criticism has more to do with all the custom Fenders and Gibson re-re-re 1950's editions which are totally f**ked up and sell for +6k.

No offense taken really. I am always amazed at what they go for.

Actually this is quite right. I've been a fan of your work for a while and that's exactly what I think. It's nice to know that hey, maybe I could afford something at some point. I have a Bride of Frankenstein graphic I'm looking to do someday (not Kirk's version) that I think you'd make amazing.

        Thanks.

Mike is VERY VERY affordable. does super detailed work. I do miss pure evil KV2 but at the time i had a chance to buy that Y2KV that mustaine owned and really wanted it. and sometimes you have to let one thing go to get another.
