    would having a shorter scale just shorten the amount of space in a fret?

    It shortens the amount of space BETWEEN each fret, if that's what you meant.

            Unless the body is made for a shorter scale neck then the intonation would be off and would not be able to get it right. You would have to modify the body for a shorter scale neck. Or llok for a shorter scale body. Like a Fusion.

              My dream guitar is a Short scale Soloist with 1 Humbucker and a Kahler Pro or maybe a Floyd, but that is Custom Shop all the way, someday [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] Jack.
