• Some help please .........

    Hi Kids,

Picked this up in a shop here in town today. Paid $250 out the door. This is my first Charvel, and I have another one coming (475) that I got on ebay, but I have an issue with waiting and just fell for this one today.

I sat down, played my first Charvel, and instantly smiled. THATS THE SOUND I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!!!! I had bought so much other stuff, and all I needed was the right tool.

    Serial Number is 236259

    Here are some pics:

    My First Charvel

The Questions I would have would be:

The whammmy bar didnt come with it, but they found one that fits OK. Does anyone have an original?

The Kahler trem says USA-Is that correct for this model? Does it all look correct? Fretboard etc...

I tell ya, Some people want to know if they "got a good deal", but in my case, as a guy in the process of just learning, value is all in the eye of the beholder, and for how happy I am to finally find the sound I was looking for, it would have been a deal to me at ten times the price.

Any comments on my first Charvel are warmly accepted.

Ok, gotta go burn some more chicken on the grill.

Thats a beauty ya got there! BUT,,,, where are the fine tuners that screw into the bridge? In case your not sure what I mean, look at the back of it around where the strings go in, you'll see threaded holes for the fine tuners to adjust the tuners. Maybe you should ask the people where you got it as sometimes they might remove them before the actual sale so people don't steal them.

    Nice guitar though!! Enjoy!

      Oh crap,

To be honest, as a new player, I didnt even notice??

I am sure they dont have them. So you mean the strings just go through, as is, right out of the package, and then there are fine tuners as well?

Please help me, I ride on the short bus........

Yes, thats correct. Here is a pic of the same bridge with the fine tuners on it. Unfortunately one of them is missing on this one but you get the idea.

Thanks Dave, you are very helpful.

Now, where do I find some? Or is it a hopeless quest........

Thanks for being my personal helper.

As far as getting parts for these, I'm afraid your going to have to ask here in the classifieds or hit ebay. And to add more problems, for some reason some fine tuners had coarse threads and some had fine threads. Why? I have no idea.......
Good luck bud, but at least you have a very nice guitar!
