My thoughts exactly! And check out the shark fins on the 7 string.... They're like... too small! What the Hell?

Of all I've seen, I'm very disappointed. The only new Jacksons that appealed to me were the KV6 and KV7, and neither of those have binding. It says "bound" but I don't see it. Could be black binding (fail). I'm hoping there'll be people out there selling their nice older Jacksons on ebay to fund these hideous 8 strings

Love the hardtail, hate the headstock. Even a SLXT with a hardtail would be awesome!

I'm impressed with the line-up of 7s and 8s but i'm a little bummed we don't get any more pointies. The KV6 and KV7 look pretty awesome - the smaller sharkfins look like a nod to the Rhoads PCS.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

I think this design was influenced from his older dean custom. Still cool looking guitars, but the black binding and the small size of the shark inlays make them look retarded. I'd rather have a real KV if I wanna spend that kind of money, or just get a PDX2. :-b
As for Bredericks, I might actually get the satin black 7 string if it's around $1000 or so. However, I need to know where they're made first! And I also think the Broderick guitars have that actual reversed smurf-headstock...

Those guitars have black binding. It sucks I know, and since they're USAs, they're not going to be cheap either!

Actually, the Broderick is reversed compared to a regular SLS headstock. The others are not, but they are an odd shape.

They're not smaller sharkfins... they're just not up-sized for the wider board of the 7-string.

On the 7, maybe but look at the 6 string. Either way, the effect is the same on the 7.

I know, I'm just disappointed because I was interested in some of the new models. Last year at NAMM there was a silverburst KV for the Trivium guy that looked cool and I would have considered buying one of them. I know the company can't please everyone, I'm just being grumpy.
I feel festive all year round. Deal with it.

Not much improvement in the USA select part. I'm really not into the signature stuff at all. That's one of the reasons why I don't dig ESP these days too. What is wrong with something new for the USA Soloist line? So much focus on the mid to entry level stuff. Bring back the graphics and pointy headstocks without CS prices please!

I gotta give it to em, thats one hell of a spread. A lot of new guitars, but theyre so all over the board, its hard to tell whats what with the DKXTATQTMGXTB-SBTS355 names and what not. Its almost like they dont have a direction to go in, so instead of picking one or two, they went every which way and did some of it half assed. Quality over quantity, but what ever. Id still love to check out some of the Mexican ones, but thats about it.
