I've never had a jackson or a charvel and I'm looking to get either a used charvel or jackson off ebay, and im just wondering what the main differences between the two are. (most of the charvels are from the 80s). What im really interested in actually is how the necks differ from one another. thanks

WELCOME! I have a Jackson DK2 and an 80's Charvel Model 2. The Charvel import necks from the model series are a little beefier than say the DK2, DXMG, etc. In my opinion my model 2 neck feels like a C profile whereas my DK2 feels almost like an Ibanez Wizard neck, but better. The model series Charvel necks feel great.
Don't worry, before long several others will give you better info than I did. You came to the right place for info on not just Jackson/Charvel, but anything with strings. -

thanks alot, i like a beefier neck more than that of an ibanez, so i think i will look into the charvel. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]Comment
