• Winter NAMM........New Model rumors?????

Seeings how the Winter NAMM show usualy has alot more to offer as far as new gear..........are there any rumors as to what Jackson/Charvel will pop out next. Once again here's the wish list......

    1. One humbucker, one volume, Floyded Strat with maple board, 22 frets, pointy headstock with Charvel or Jackson on it. (If I had to I could live with rosewood board). Basicaly another Model 2.

    2. Dual humbuckers with a non reversed pointy headstock. Reverse headstocks seem to be loosing their appeal with me.

    ...........and

This is for you RR guys..............put 24 frets on an RR already dammit!

    Ok.....that's about it for me.

    NEXT!

Unfortunately, my wellspring of information dried up at Summer NAMM. I'm looking forward to what Jackson pulls out of their arse next. I think this is going to be the first full Fender/Jackson NAMM. The past couple were still mostly AMIC/Jackson. Should be interesting to see what pops up.

McD said before that 2004 would be Fender's first "real" year with Jackson as far as NAMM goes - so maybe they'll have the RR24 ready - hell it's only the KV1 neck on RR body wings, how hard can it be to change over?

At any rate, maybe there'll be plenty of other cool new stuff like H-S-H Soloists, Dinkys, and Fusions
Maybe there'll be more maple boards with ebony fins as *standard* options, as well as a Warmoth licensing deal for accurate (i.e. real 24 fret) Jackson necks

I'd like to see the Stealth line return. The SLSMG is a nice guitar, but it'd take a Floyd and some Duncans for me to make a move.

Hehe well, we've been over this before, so I'll just mention again that I disagree with the last paragraph. =) I just hate front loaded electronics.

Like someone mentioned in the "Import Jackson" forum, I think an RRMG would be cool. 24 frets, rev headstock, bound neck, pirahna inlays, black hardware, afterburner. Imagine that in trans black.

I've heard that they are gonna make a strathead guitar with a pointy headstock

It also makes it much more easier to do electronics work as well.

Let me assure you, that Rhoads pickguard does NOT make it any easier to work on their electronics. It's a PITA to get it into the right position and KEPP IT THERE.

Yeah, it's surely harder to reach pots sticking out on a plate then reaching into a cavity...ummmm ok...

I think they should make a 20 fret Rhoads.
