Yeah, it's surely harder to reach pots sticking out on a plate then reaching into a cavity...ummmm ok...

If you're using a crappy gun to do your solder work then it probably is easier on a Rhoads. But if you have a GOOD soldering iron it is much less work to just pop open the cavity and go at it. I always had trouble getting Rhoads pickguards to STAY WHERE I PUT THEM. I eventually found that you can wrangle it in such a direction that you can put it back into the cavity, face down, and it will stay in place. The problem with THAT is that that if someone cut the leads on the pickups, or any ground wire, too short you'll have to find some other way to hold the thing in place. Not only that, but it can be a PITA to put one of those Rhoads faceplates back on.

I don`t think it will happen, but I would love it if they made a 1 Hum Soloist with a 24.75 scale neck and Kahler Pro trem I would order one the next day for sure Jack.

            1. One humbucker, one volume, Floyded Strat with maple board, 22 frets, pointy headstock with Charvel or Jackson on it. (If I had to I could live with rosewood board). Basicaly another Model 2.

            2. Dual humbuckers with a non reversed pointy headstock. Reverse headstocks seem to be loosing their appeal with me.

            ...........and

This is for you RR guys..............put 24 frets on an RR already dammit!

            Ok.....that's about it for me.

            NEXT!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">the RR with 24 frets is probably gonna happen Brian McDonald seems real keen on that Idea ... and Brian not to ask ya for the world or anything how bout a 24 fret RX10d or RR3 with reverse headstock ... please !!! At any rate, maybe there'll be plenty of other cool new stuff like H-S-H Soloists, Dinkys, and Fusions
Maybe there'll be more maple boards with ebony fins as *standard* options, as well as a Warmoth licensing deal for accurate (i.e. real 24 fret) Jackson necks

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Does warmoth really need to get a license to make a real 24 fret neck and not that extended BS they do?? I'd be happy if warmoth made any kind of damn 24 fret neck that would work even if it had the Kramer or Explorer type headstock.

I'd like to see the Fusion make an appearance back on the scene or any 24 3/4" guitar for that matter, that would be pretty cool IMO.

I think there's gonna be a 24 fret RR but I'm afraid they'll change too many other things on it and it might look like crap i.e, no pickguard so it looks like a cheap import.

                Re: Winter NAMM........New Model rumors?????

Well, BM worked at AMIC for enough time to have worked on enough of them for my vote of confidence....

Anyways, I'd rather have a rear loaded Rhoads like Sunbane described... I thought of doing one almost identical with that, but was thinking custom shop.

I would murder for a 24 fret reverse headstock Rhoads model. In fact, ide sell my current RR1 for it
