  • 1996 KE1... priced JUST barely out of my budget

starting at $7,500. damn, almost within my budget. so close. so close.

this is marty friedman's number 2. i don't give a shit if it the dalai lama owned it, that price is way overboard.

You might think it's funny, but those guitars were getting that and then some when Marty began selling them off after the Japanese earthquake/tsunami. I recall the black quilt getting close to 8K. Heck, there's guys on the JCF that offered me 5K for my Mustaine owned round horn V with Floyd and silver paint, so it's not out of the question if you get the right buyer...

Plus the lower horn has probably been 'balls deep' up some Japanese minge.

Looks pretty minty so considering the history of the guitar it doesn't seem like too much.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

I'm guessing Marty took pretty good care of his guitars. I have one of his Kellys that I bought several years ago and it is in near mint shape too. It even had the strap locks in the case. The Jackson case had airline stickers from travel on it but the guitar itself was nice!

You're not alone on the Kahler, I like them too. Besides, most Kahler haters don't seem to mind the fixed Kahlers like Friedman and Mustaine used. My Kelly has the same Kahler 3310 bridge. It was used on the Cryptic Writings album and tour.

What does he do in Japan? Is he still metal?
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

She's got a good voice! Still sounds like Marty soloing which is great. Nice "Eric Carr" sized drum kit!!!
