Those are M.A.P. or list prices, dude. Matt's real prices are much lower.

Hey Matt - You rock, man! I really appreciate everything you've been doing in an effort to help me out on here. I said this during our phone conversation, but if there's ever enything you need, just ask!

As for the prices on my site. Jackson and just about every other company I deal with, have this thing called MAP. MAP stands for "minimum advertised price" and it's a policy that dealers have to agree to which is part of the dealer agreements we sign. If a dealer violates MAP, they get spanked pretty hard by the company. Although a MAP policy designates the prices a dealer can advertise at, it doesn't have anything to do with the actual prices a dealer sells the stuff for. So, the prices on my site are MAP prices. If you guys have any questions regarding prices, call me or email me directly. Just do me a favor and don't post any of the prices I quote you on this forum as that could be extremely bad for me!

On one hand I can understand why manufacturers want the MAP, but on the other, it's a general inconvenience to the buyer - I'd personally like to know who's got the lowest price on something without calling or emailing. It might mean the Volume dealers like Guitar Denter/AMS/MF lose a sale, but as a customer, I can't bring myself to care about large inept retail chains losing money [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Yes, they are the Lowest Allowed Advertised Price allowed by Fender. Call him for a better price.

In the past I haven't stocked much custom shop stuff, I sold custom shop guitars, but they were all special ordered for people. I'm going to get over to the Jackson booth early this year at winter NAMM and buy some of the show pieces on display.

Matt, i personally feel that you should do a Special run on 1 Hum Short Scale Soloists in Black amd Black hardware and a Floyd or Kahler Pro, you would be doing a great service to this site and to society [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/drool2.gif[/img] Would anyone be interested in one of these, maybe even with black neck and headstock binding? How many would nead to be the minimum? Jack.

I'm working on getting some details on this for you guys. I'll post them after I speak to my rep about a limited run. I'm pretty sure we'd need 25 pieces to get it done but I may be able to move any excess guitars. How many of the forum members are interested in this?

I`d even opt for the full scale, if a short scale falls through [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] It would even be awsome with the Yellow Bengal finish, with matching headstock, or Lightning Sky on black of course, man I am in a sweet dream right now [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img] Jack.

As for the limited run guitars, 10 pieces is the minimum. I'd be happy to order up a special run of guitars for you guys if 10 of you can agree on what you'd like. Once we nail down the specs I can get you a price from Jackson. My pricing will be based upon the same type of discount you've come to expect from a guy named Matt, who sells Jacksons to JCFers.
