Jackson tried this with charvel(and charvette) in the 80's it failed.
the classifieds, I can't sell shit here anymore.
the JS series that I have played, have the best neck profiles out of any charvel Jackson I've played. the fret ends used to be Ok. the x series made at that same factory that was spoken about here cut my finger up good before I filed the edges.
Just put the series on the guitar or even the model. fender and Gibson do it but they bought those as separate companies didn't they?

Backflipped on my choice, not going for the white v & blue dinky, have the red Warrior on it's way.

The SDX covered the white/black side of things & I thought it was time I got a non floyd guitar for a change.

NGD post in a couple of weeks..................yes, with pics & a good run down on her.

Charvel didn't fail as a low price brand. They thrived. The Charvel factory was probably one of the longest running off-brand factories in Japan.

Charvette was just a gay name and nobody wanted to be girly. They should have come up with a better name, and it would have worked better. It's all about the name and image.

And when J/C converting all the charvel models over to Jackson and stopped having charvels in 94 was what? If I remember right they changed to Jackson because the charvel sales were falling and the name change was an attempt to tap into the us rep. the company didn't pass thru so many hands because the company thrived either.
So back to my original post. J/C separated the brands into charvel as the imports and Jackson as the usa made guitars and charvels were converted to jacksons with charvel disappearing in 94. they've been there and done it with a separate brands. It didn't work.
