Did Jackson ever make Student models other than Soloists and Rhoads?
I don't recall seeing anything else, except maybe a bass?
Having a discussion on another board (), and I thought I'd better check with the experts here before I made myself look stoopid!

    Student model

Yes, all models were available as a student model. Main difference was rosewood board and dot inlays and no binding. Wood and hardware was still the same

I thought that the Student option dated back to a time when the Soloist and Rhoads were the only "production"* body shapes available...

      * Yes, custom shop and all that, but you know what I mean!

I have a student Rhoads. I hate it. I love the guitar actually. It plays well and sounds great. It's SN4XX and has the original 3 piece neck. It's a great guitar but god damn ugly. Seems like most everything was available in a "student" when Jackson first started producing guitars, but there weren't a lot of choices either at that time.

It actually is. We let him back in, and he's promised not to use all caps and spell better, too!

At the retail end, not including the custom shop.
