Since it was enacted last week we have grown by over 100 members.

Yeah, I like that idea. With the growing # of memberships it will be nice to know who's part of the fam and who's just lurking about watching. The "log in" thing won't stop lurkers, it'll just mean that they can all be members now! What will that solve??

Our policy on banned members is:
Banned is banned.

Do we want to keep the banned members out?
Yes. There's a reason they were banned.

Do we want to keep the Fender folks out?
That question is absolutely preposterous!! Why on God's green Earth would we want to do that? A lot of the questions raised on this board about Jackson/Charvel's future are best answered by the folks making the decisions to keep them out is absolute stupidity. We want their participation.

Sid kinda slid in under the radar. But we found him and took swift action. We try to scrutinize accounts to see if we have troublemakers and we'll take appropriate action as soon as we discover one. I admit, he got one by us. With a lot of things going on, we won't be able to catch everything the first time around.

As far as extra titles and "Member Since" tags, we'll look at that. Jeremy just upgraded the board software and we're still checking to see what it can do. But I'll take these ideas back, run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it.

Honestly, we take a lot of lumps in the position of Admin. The four of us have some great ideas on making this board even better.

I've personally had a couple of complaints about redundant threads and insipid topics. Unfortunately, there isn't way too much we can do about that except for what we're already doing. Hopefully the "Resource Pages" will cut down on the redundancy drastically. Some of the banishment doled out and closed topics is to counteract some of the other ills that make some stay away from the board.
