Jackson pickups USA vs Japan

I now have 4 of my fave pickups ever, the J-80 (not C version). I have 3 USA and 1 Japanese. The USA's I guess came with EMG style covers that could be removed as the 3 I have are all plain black poled hums with no writing on the front.

The Japanese version has Jackson written in white on the bottom right corner so I guess didn't have covers?

Are these literally all the same spec just made in different places?

I have US J-50 in an '87 Soloist that is uncovered and logo'd...not sure that the covers are a tell tale sign of anything?
