Please explain the difference between recessed and not recessed but almost recessed.

I think i know, but i want to make sure. And others may not be clear either.

Those had a pullup route. In my experience, the neck angle was set about halfway between where a traditional recessed and non-recessed neck angle would be. It was a pretty good idea, except the non-recessed players want their non-recessed trems and the recessed players want their recessed trems. So, in my opinion it wasn't the preferred layout for anybody.

In idiot terms.

All above the body.
The sticks in the back end cut out.
