But is that because he is happy or because he could use the money?

We talked for a bit that year. What I got out of it was Jackson needed his help to optimize some manufacturing processes and it seemed that he didn't have any illusions about being kept indefinitely.
When I spoke to him 2 years ago at his first GJ2 Guitars booth he again talked about optimizing processes for building high quality guitars. He wants consistently great playing guitars and seems to have some processes down that allow that. He didn't say anything bad about Jackson at all, and seemed happy to be doing his own thing again.

I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Originally posted by sully View PostAs far as I'm concerned. I've been able to play a bunch over the past couple of years while they've been in town for guitar shows. Every single one that I've played were fantastically built, played great, and sounded great. I'm a fan of their pickups, too, and use them as the stock pickup for Sully guitars. I don't really buy guitars anymore, and don't really have a need to, but if I were to buy a new guitar, it'd be one of theirs.

Sure, it's a nice rare guitar... did Randy ever even touch it? One of his recognized stage guitars could probably easily hit $30k, but something that he never used? The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.
