I've lost hope in Jacksons, or Charvels for that matter, under 3,000 dollars.. Lets face it the paint shop in Indonesia is the only thing to brag about. Underneath is a bunch of sh@t wood. My apologies about venting but any fool could buy a 20 year old guitar and get way, way, way more bang for the buck! Unless you can't tell the difference ;-)
ya stagnant is correct on the other hand these guys are far from it and wont be anytime soon.... don't get me wrong i love jacksons and really love my 85 RR..but,...
anyway watch the video on the making of this beast, it's insane..
No harm in pandering to the Alexi fan-base, if they still exist. Stupid people spend money all the time, and it's better that they spend it on a Jackson than an ESPee.
Maple-board may be DK2M, with those retarded offset dots.
Can't blame Jackson for what appears to be stagnation. Gibson has what, the LP, SG, V, and Explorer still? New colors, new tops, same 60-year-old designs. Oh wait, you get different neck profiles
Same with Fender - Strat, Tele, and.....what? 30 different neck profiles, 10 finishes, 2 pickup combos, and the same giant hunk of plastic covering 80% of the surface.
So Jackson does the same-old, same-old that made them famous? What's the difference? Though it might be nice if they turned some of those Pablo Specials into import production models. Then again, if you think Guitar Denter is bad now, leave a couple of import "Extreme" models in there for a week, with all the cutouts
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
