• Dave (Budman's) C/J Pickup Rings

Dave is the man of the hour! I have been wanting to add gold hardware to my pearl white/platinum 1989 King V for years. The only thing stopping me was the big 'ole black Jackson oversize pickup rings. But thanks to JCF member, Dave, I am in business! Here's my King V before, as many have seen from the Gallery, all boring with its black hardware: If you're hesitating from buying some new rings, don't! Dave is super fast and will work with you to get what you want. Now, after some gold additions of a Jackson/Schaller Floyd, knobs, screws, and switch tip, including the incredibly hard to find C/J rings to match, here she is boyz:
"Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

Those are some awesome rings! I bought one of his black rings cut for an EMG. The ring is actually an UPGRADE not just a replacement.

Dave just made me a nice set of Rhoads pickguard and string through V plates in brass cloned from my '83 Rhoads parts. I can't wait to get them in!

Wow, how did I miss this thread Thanks Joe, it was a pleasure dealing with you. Man, that "V" looks unreal with all the gold on it and I must say the brass matches the gold pretty damn well! Can I use those words and pics for my webpage? I'll shoot you an email about the pickguard too.

Ox, I'll shoot you an email as well

Thanks again guys, and a special thanks goes out to Jim for letting me use his Rhoads parts!!

pretty much of an improvement! incredible what a little bit of gold and brass can do!

looks really great: now it has way more "style". just 1 lack: it is metal "off"

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Sorry Shawn, not at the moment, the problem is that I would have to make ALOT of them for black chrome or regular chrome plating for it to be cost efficient. It's just too expensive for the amount of rings I'm making. Thanks for asking though!
