• Ultra Sonic Pick ups

Back in 1988 I put an Ultra Sonic Hum on my Model 6. It's the best sounding active pickup I've come across. I would like some info on these and am looking at possibly adding more to my guitars. The only problem is, the pick ups were made in W. Germany and there is no more W. Germany now. Does anyone have any info on these?

Re: Ultra Sonic Pick ups

I have a set of the Ultrasonic stacked humbuckers in one of my guitars. From what info I have seen the company went out of business in 1988 or 1989. That means you will have to scrounge for them in the used market. I agree, they are great sounding pickups.

They're not actually active and are indeed meant to be great pickups. I have a h-s-s set from a guitar I bought, but never got to try them out while they were still in it...

Your right. I forgot to mention my Ultrasonics were not active. I do have a Jackson active mid-boost circuit hooked up to them though.

Yeah... Sorry. I have the Jackson active mid-boost circuit hooked up to them too. I guess I knew they weren't active pick ups. But man, does this thing sound good on the Model 6.

Thanks for the help guys~

I remember these pickups and was sorry to see them go.
But I found that Adder plus will more than replace these or mix well.
Only problem is they take to long to get. They are made state side but the owner is having major health issues with his family that have caused massive delays in getting his orders out.
If you can stand the wait call 1-800-423-3378 and ask for Mel Lace. Don't confuse his name with Fender Lace Sensers, since he didn't make those.
Just a suggestion
